Despite NRL round 4 being the toughest round of the year, Lloyd ‘Swooper’ Bond risked his first WildCard Double Play, jagged 6 from 8 which was doubled to 12 and more than enough to soar him from equal 5th to outright lead by 3 points.
JanB and JenniferK consortium and Cameron Meade who were the only others to nominate a WildCard for round 4, each scored 4 from 8 which was doubled to 8. It was still a great boost to their respective progressive scores.
For many others who scored only 1, 2 or 3 points it really was a rotten round.
Already there is a 12 points margin between the Swooper’s progressive score of 27 and four others locked in equal 10th place on 15.
In order to rise to the leaders bunch, we expect several others to call their first WildCard for round 5.
Steve Bond who was outright leader for the first 3 rounds pulled another satisfactory round score 5 to keep him in outright 2nd place on 24. He’s comfortable because he still has his two WildCard rounds up his sleeve.
This is how the table sits after round 4.
Round 5 is another very hard round, but it’s still a fabulous competition.
