DREAMWEAVERS EVENT PRODUCTIONS

After 22 weeks and only 4 weeks to go the Dreamweavers 2010 NRL Tipping Comp winner will almost certainly be decided in the final round.

Of the 36 tipsters, 30 still have a genuine winning chance for the $1800 winner take all cash box.

Although Lloyd ‘Swooper’ Bond has lead the competition for the past 19 weeks, his tipping performance during the past 3 weeks has been less than ordinary and has allowed Peter Hayward (GCCEC) to move up to withing 3 points of his 106 point total.

One point behind Hayward is Cameron Cuskelly (Jupiters) who holds a 4 point margin from Monique Koryzma (Jupiters) and Martin Rainey (Belfast) on 98 points.

But at this time the most powerful weapon for tipsters is their the two Double Point WildCards that each tipster received at the start of the competition.

Some tipsters used their WildCards early and others plan to use them during the final 4 weeks.

Andy Payne, who currently sits on 80 points in competition last place, 26 points behind Swooper’ is still confident that he can still win the competition during the final week.

If Andy managed to score 8 wins from 8 games next weekend, he will score 20 points which will soar him into about 4th position. If he waited until round 26 to use his final WildCard and scored 6×2=12 or 7×2=14 he could very well take away the winners cash box.

A perfect 8 correct picks from 8 AFL round 4 games last weekend lifted Melinda Harris and Janine Harris to hot on the tail of Lloyd Bond who has led the Dreamweavers AFL Tipping Comp from round one.

Although 9 points separate first and last place, this tipping competition is expected to undergo dramatic changes once the Double Points Wild Card option is introduced from round 5.

Each AFL tipster is entitled to TWO double points WildCard rounds which they can take for any rounds between round 5 and 22.

See below the table showing how each tipster scored during round 4 and their progressive scores.

Despite NRL round 4 being the toughest round of the year, Lloyd ‘Swooper’ Bond risked his first WildCard Double Play, jagged 6 from 8 which was doubled to 12 and more than enough to soar him from equal 5th to outright lead by 3 points.

JanB and JenniferK consortium and Cameron Meade who were the only others to nominate a WildCard for round 4, each scored 4 from 8 which was doubled to 8. It was still a great boost to their respective progressive scores.

For many others who scored only 1, 2 or 3 points it really was a rotten round.

Already there is a 12 points margin between the Swooper’s progressive score of 27 and four others locked in equal 10th place on 15.

In order to rise to the leaders bunch, we expect several others to call their first WildCard for round 5.

Steve Bond who was outright leader for the first 3 rounds pulled another satisfactory round score 5 to keep him in outright 2nd place on 24. He’s comfortable because he still has his two WildCard rounds up his sleeve.

This is how the table sits after round 4.

From 36 tipsters representing clients, suppliers, venues, NRL clubs and stars, media and Jupiters Casino only Steve Bond, Dreamweavers 3D graphics guru, managed to jag 7 winners from the 8 games and take outright lead in the 26 rounds 2010 Dreamweavers NRL Footy Tipping Competition.

Hot on Steve’s heels is Gold Coast Titans captain Scott Prince and Barry Harris both with 6 from 8 followed by the others with 5 out of 8 right down to 2 out of 8.

The principle objectives and aspirations of the 2010 Dreamweavers NRL Footy Tipping Competition are to provide the resources, incentives and inspiration for each tipster to have unbounded fun; to jibe, to sledge, to banter, to be irreverent, to self promote, to be cynical, sarcastic and skillful in their quest to win to competition at all costs.

But the boundaries are that moaning, bitching, groaning, bleating, crying,  whining, whimpering, muttering, complaining, grumbling, griping, bemoaning, lamenting, growling, bellyaching or fussing will not be tolerated.

At the end of the home and away season, the outright winner will take home $1,800. Second, third and last placegetters  will also receive valuable prizes.

The tipping comp winnings are stored in a huge, converted steel toolbox, contents of which are protected by 2 padlocks and uncuttable steel chains to the tipping comp scoreboard in Dreamweavers creative office.

After returning to his Gold Coast creative and production centre headquarters from Melbourne this morning, Dreamweavers Event Productions managing director John Harris claimed to still be ‘high’ with enthusiasm and excitement about the success and response to Dreamweavers first ever exhibition presentation at AIME 2010.

He added that “during the two days, from hundreds of visitors, we were able to have one on one discussions with dozens of genuinely potential clients.

With the aid of our audio visual equipment, new brochures and new website were able to explain and demonstrate first hand how we have created and produced more than 1600 different events including many world class theme events for small and large clients throughout Australia and Asia during the past 12 years.

We were able to make many follow up appointments for discussions and briefings for future events. We are genuinely gobsmacked. AIME 2010 greatly exceeded our expectations” . ends lb

Within the first 3 hours of AIME 2010, the Dreamweavers stand at AIME 2010 had attracted almost 100 visitors including many from overseas.
Dreamweavers managing director John Harris said that he was ‘blown away’ by the visitor reaction to imagery of most of the Dreamweavers theme events.

“They (the visitors) constantly commented that they had never seen such highly creative and clever event themeing, and that they could very well be interested in Dreamweavers submitting concepts and proposals for future events.”
“At times there has been a lineup of visitors wishing to speak with any of the 3 of us, but our biggest problem is being able to spend enough time speaking with each visitor before they move away.”
“At least we have been able to give each person a copy of our new 24 glossy color page brochure which features images of many of our major recent events.” lb
